Pic of the Week: Agony and Ecstasy by Alex Dorrens
A friend and I went to the Strathclyde Park Fun Park to see if we could capture some action shots of the rides there.
I was drawn to one of the roller coasters which was proving very popular and positioned myself on a curve where the carriage would come around the bend and be facing me.
As the ride was moving very fast I set my camera to continuous burst with the shutter speed at 1200 sec.
I then removed the cluttered background in Photoshop and replaced it with streaking lights to convey the speed of the carriage.
Camera aperture f8 at 320 ISO, focal length 70mm.
