Community night to aid food banks
The event, titled Feed A Family For Christmas, will take place at the Mallard pub.
One of the organisers, Liam Stevenson, said: “Our goal is to raise £2,000, enough to keep both food banks in bread and milk for six months.”

“This is a non political event and we want everyone to come and help the poorest families in our local community,” he said.
The event is on November 22 at the Mallard pub in Greenfaulds, starting at around 7pm.
There will be music from Martin Hutcheson, Billy Hall, Tom Kills and more, and the pub is laying on a buffet.

Tickets, £4, can be purchased at the Mallard or direct from Liam Stevenson on 07834686846. Donations of raffle or auction prizes welcome. On this occasion people are asked to donate cash for the food banks to spend on fresh produce, instead of bringing bags of food.
