Santa ready to light up Carluke and Law tonight
The town centre fun will begin just after 3pm, with Radio Clyde’s Gina McKie hosting a mix of music, games and competitions to keep the crowd entertained, with the lights switched on in Market Square at 6pm.
A Christmas Fairytale Show will feature sing-a-long favourites from films Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Aladdin, Brave and Frozen.

Hide AdSouth Lanarkshire Provost Eileen Logan will be joined on stage by Santa, Gala Queen Claire-Jane Rye and Gina for the countdown to the lights being switched on.
Provost Logan said: “I hope as many people as possible will come along and help us celebrate what has become a hugely successful and enjoyable local event.
“There is a real family atmosphere in the town during the switch-on celebrations and there is something for everyone to enjoy.
“Hopefully the amount of people who turn up will also have a beneficial effect for local businesses.”

Hide AdSnow is also guaranteed on the day, with the switching on of the lights triggering a fall of fake flakes. Festive music will be played as the crowds disperse.
A balloon artist and magician will also entertain the crowds, with a Christmas Market running from 3pm to 6.30pm.
Meanwhile, Law’s Christmas lights will be switched on at the Cross by Santa and Claire-Jayne at 4.30pm on Friday.
From 4pm, Law Bowling Club is the venue for festive events featuring a meal and stalls selling Christmas goods. There will also be choir singing from local school pupils.
Local SNP Councillor David Shearer said: “This is our 10th year doing this and it seems to get better every time.”
