Biker taken to hospital after crash
A motorcyclist escaped serious injury after a crash in Uddingston today.
Emergency services raced to the scene in Bothwell Road after reports of the accident around 11am.
A motorbike had collided with a car close to the Tesco store in the centre of the village.

Hide AdA spokesman for Scottish Fire and Rescue, which had two appliances at the scene, said the male motorcyclist was taken to Monklands Hospital as as precaution, but was not thought to be badly hurt.
Firefighters spent some time clearing an oil spill from the road.
