Late-night driver pulled over in Clarkston faces drink driving charge
Police in East Renfrewshire are warning drivers that roads are still being patrolled 24 hours a day during the current lockdown after stopping a late-night driver for an alleged drink driving offence.
Around midnight last night (Thursday, April 30) a 35-year-old driver was pulled over by officers on Moray Drive, Clarkston.
He subsequently failed a breath test and is expected to appear at court in the near future.
The previous evening, again just before midnight, officers stopped a driver who was not insured on Ralston Road, Barrhead.
The vehicle has been seized.
