Man charged over armed hold-upsin Tannochside
Stephen Wright (35) appeared in private at Hamilton Sheriff Court accused of a hold-up at the Royal Bank of Scotland in Thorniewood Road on Friday, August 5.
At the time police said staff were unhurt but extremely shaken after a man armed with a knife threatened them. It was reported a four-figure sum of cash had been stolen.

Hide AdWright, of Easterhouse, Glasgow, was also charged with an attempted robbery at Coral bookmakers in Old Edinburgh Road, Tannochside, last month.
Police said a man brandished a knife but ran away when a member of staff refused to hand over cash. Again, no one was hurt.
Wright made no plea to the charges during the hearing last week. He was remanded in custody and is due to make a second appearance in the dock tomorrow.
