Passing the baton
The Climate Justice Baton, along with thousands of names on a petition, is to express the demands of churches in Scotland that negotiators agree to a deal that promotes global climate justice.
In December, Eco-Congregation Scotland will be taking the well-travelled baton to Paris, where the Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change is taking place.

Hide AdIt has been passing around churches in Scotland throughout the summer and autumn, carrying the hopes and aspirations of Christians across the country for climate justice to be central to any agreement reached at the conference.
Cadder Parish Church hosted its three-day stopover in Bishopbriggs.
Every child at Meadowburn Primary School got to touch it as part of their Harvest Thanksgiving assembly, held in the church.
It also made an appearance at a meeting of the church’s Guild, and at the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigades dedication service in the church, before being handed over by Rev. Graham Finch for the next leg of its nationwide tour.
