Armed Forces Covenant is signed by the council
This demonstrates the organisation’s support of the Armed Forces community, acknowledging and recognising the value of serving personnel and their families.
Joint Council Leader Andrew Polson said: “Signing this Covenant with our Ministry of Defence colleagues firmly demonstrates our support to the Armed Forces, including Regulars, Cadets, Reservists, Veterans and their families, who all play such an important role in the operations of the Army, Air Force and Naval Service.”

Signing the Covenant on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, was Commanding Officer of the 7 SCOTS Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Matt Sheldrick.
