Stay safe this Christmas - agencies deliver message
The partnership launched This Christmas...stay safe campaign just in time for the busy festive season.
Mobile messaging boards displaying festive safety messages have been placed on key roads across North Lanarkshire, and information can be seen on screens in libraries, council First Stop Shops and cafes, schools, colleges and leisure centres.

Hide AdBells to warn shoppers if someone is trying to steal items from their bags are available free in shops, post offices and charity shops. Information leaflets are also being distributed to local shops containing advice on how to minimise the risk of burglary during the holiday period
Drivers are also being provided with leaflets and stickers about the dangers of drink driving and speeding. Stickers will be posted on wheelie bins and leaflets will be handed out by fast food companies at their drive through facilities and by garages offering winter checks.
Councillor Jim McCabe said: “Through our Christmas campaign, we’re reminding residents to take practical steps to keep themselves and their property safe and well over the festive period. We all want Christmas to be remembered as a fun time, so follow our advice and stay safe.”
