Twitter book win for St Ninian’s librarian
A LIBRARIAN has secured a bumper book boost for her school after spotting a Book Week Scotland competition, by chance, on Twitter.
Donna Baird, who works at St Ninian’s high school, netted £1,500 worth of books after seeing a tweet about the Scotland-wide contest, run by the Scottish Book Trust and The Herald.
She explained: “I saw it mentioned on Twitter and thought it was worth a try — there was just one question.
“It was a big surprise but we were very happy to receive the books, which arrived very quickly.”
