Interview with new Lanark United boss John Brogan
JOHN Brogan has revealed how threatening to send his under-achieving Yoker players on Saturday shopping with their wives three years ago yielded a spectacular run of 16 straight victories.
Brogan – appointed Lanark United manager last week after the shock resignation of Brian Johnston – read the riot act to the Glasgow side after their disastrous start to the 2011-2012 season.
“We were third bottom in the November of my second full season in charge of Yoker,” said John (60).
