Greg Docherty got his Hull City career off to a winning start following his switch from Rangers.
The 24-year-old midfielder, from Milngavie, was part of the Hull side which defeated Sunderland in Saturday’s Carabao Cup first round tie.
The match ended goalless but Hull won 5-4 on penalties to secure a second round trip away to Premiership new boys Leeds United.
Hull kick off their League One campaign this Saturday away to Gillingham.
