Avenue raises cash for kids charities

Newton Mearns shopping centre, The Avenue, has raised £2000 to support Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital and Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity.

As part of its charity weekend, activities included a family fun day on Saturday with live music, face painting, a magician, a live charity auction in partnership with McTears Auctioneers, and more.

On Sunday an outdoor cinema showing Despicable Me and Grease took place within car park with proceeds from ticket sales going straight to Great Ormond Street and Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
