Cinders hits the club for southside panto

The nightclub turned arts-venue is home to TRAM Direct theatre productions - and this Christmas, the troupe are turning their attentions to Cinderella.

Yes; Cinders, Buttons, Fairy Godmother and co are on the hunt for Prince Charming (much like some of The Shed’s clubbers, one suspects).

But first, Cinderella has to escape a life of drudgery at the hands of her two ugly sisters and make it to the ball on time — in those fabulous glass slippers, naturally.

Isobel Barrett, director at TRAM Direct, can’t wait for those curtains to go up, marking the start of a special southside Christmas.

She added: “We have high expectations for the pantomime and we’re confident that families will flood through the doors to be enchanted by the festive feeling that only live theatre can really bring to life.

“It will be truly magical and we expect the shows to be busy — so get booking now to avoid disappointment.”

Cinderella runs at The Shed December 18-21, with two performances daily at 2.30pm and 7pm.

Tickets cost £8-£10, or £33 for a family ticket ( plus get one ticket free for every party of 15 booked).

All panto-ed out? The venue also has a pre-panto Christmas Cabaret show lined up for this weekend (December 13-14), promising festive fun from 1pm.

Take a much-needed break from Christmas shopping for southside star Tartan Elvis — back in the jumpsuit for a yuletide swing of the hips — as well as David Sturgeon and his Songs to Make You Laugh and Cry, The B Naturals barbershop group and 
more.

Tickets to Christmas Cabaret are £10, and include the usual drink and bite to eat included in the live at lunchtime slot.
