Classical Brit Award Nominees Katie Marshall and Thomas Cameron to perform in Pollokshields

Newlands Global Events is welcoming Katie Marshall and Thomas Cameron, two of the finest up and coming classical singers in the UK to perform a special one-off intimate concert at Sherbrooke Mosspark Parish Church in Pollokshields as part of The Rising Stars of Classical Music Concert Series 2019/20.

This unique concert will showcase music from 18-year-old soprano Katie Marshall’s latest album ‘Voice Divine’ which is available now alongside 20-year-old Tenor Thomas Cameron who will perform music from his debut album ‘The Voice of Thomas Cameron.’

In addition, they will also perform some very special duets.

Katie was nominated for a Classical Brit Award in 2018 and has performed and toured alongside such artists as G4 and Andre Rieu’s soprano Mirusia Louwerse. She has already performed in some of the biggest venues in the UK despite her tender age including the O2 in London. Regarding the special concert Katie said: “I’m very much looking forward to performing in Glasgow as part of this very exciting concert series for young musicians and singers. It’s a great opportunity to share my passion for music with a new audience in a city of so much culture.”

Thomas, like Katie was also nominated for a Classical Brit Award in 2018 and this year was nominated for ‘The Best in Music Award’ He has performed in many prestigious venues including the National Concert Hall, Ireland. Thomas is looking forward just as much as Katie to this unique concert, “I am very excited to be performing in Glasgow for the first time this September and I can’t wait to bring my show with the wonderful Katie to the people of Glasgow. We have some great surprises in store and we can’t wait to share them with you!”

In concert with Katie Marshall and Thomas Cameron is on Friday, September 20 at 7.30pm at Sherbrooke Mosspark Parish Church.
