Clyde comeback marks Games anniversary

Life-sized statues of Commonwealth Games mascot Clyde are making a return to city venues to celebrate the anniversary of Glasgow 2014.

The Clyde trail will include southside locations Hampden, Tramway, Pollok Civic Realm, Pollokshaws Library and Glasgow Club Bellahouston.

Gordon Matheson, Glasgow City Council leader, said: “I’m delighted that we are able to welcome Clyde back to Glasgow, enabling us to place a permanent reminder of the Commonwealth Games.”

The first 100 people to find five statues and complete answers online will win a goody bag and the chance to win tickets for 2015 events — see glasgowlife.org.uk/clydewith.
