Cumbernauld students help Chris Ashton with his latest song and video

Local singer songwriter Chris Ashton has released his new single and music video, Good Guy, aided by Cumbernauld students.

Chris said: “The song and music video was recorded over a 52 hour period as part of New College Lanarskshire’s creative week project.

“The track and video was completed by the sound and film students at the Cumbernauld campus.”

Chris is grateful to everyone who helped create this video, which can be enjoyed on Youtube. On drums/percussion is Gary Gilmour, with Austin Brown on bass. Duncan Formosa edited the video, which stars Scott Findlay.

Credits also go to students Ross Gray, Tom Wallace, Gary Reid, Andrew Odell, Lee Keenan, Becca Prinn, Josh Mckinlay and Connor Porteous.

On March 28 Chris will be performing at the Hug and Pint in Glasgow, supporting Australian band Fairchild.
