Doggone good show

COMING up this month at Cumbernauld Theatre is an adaptation of the popular Hairy Maclary books for children.

Nonsense Room first performed Hairy Maclary and Friends, their live action adaptation of the books by Lynley Dodd, in 2010 with a sellout run at the Edinburgh Fringe, followed by a 2011 tour that saw the show invited to Syndey Opera House, and the company has sustained this momentum with a six-month 2012 tour of the UK and Ireland which stops off in Cumbernauld on June 23.

Featuring such loveable characters as Hercules Morse, as big as a horse; Bottomley Potts, covered in spots; Schnitzel von Krumm, with the very low tum and Scarface Claw, the toughest tomcat in town, the show features lots of live music and singing while staying faithful to the Hairy Maclary books
