An exciting initiative to champion theatre in Scotland's schools returns to East Renfrewshire next month with several schools to benefit.

Theatre in Schools Scotland is touring acclaimed productions to primary schools throughout Scotland as part of its 2017 Scottish schools tour and is returning to East Renfrewshire again this year.

Up to Speed, created by Rosalind Sydney in association with Catherine Wheels and Jason and the Argonauts will be visiting St Mark’s Primary School, Hillview Primary, Carlibar Primary School and St John’s on August 28 and 29 and on September 4 and 13.

Theatre in Schools Scotland was launched with the ambition to bring high quality theatre to every schoolchild in Scotland.

Anthony McReavy, Chief Executive, East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure Trust, said: After participating last year in a highly successful programme East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure and East Renfrewshire Council Education Department are delighted to once again be working with Theatre in Schools Scotland.”
