Saturday August 16

QUEEN’S Park hosts the twice-monthly farmers market. Scottish produce on offer from 10am until 2pm — free event.

PRODUCING fire has allowed the human race to evolve — but have techniques changed over time? Whitelee Rangers lead Fashioning Flames 10am-noon (families) and 2-4pm (adults). Free event.

OPEN day at Holmlea Gardens, Greenholme Street (G44 4DU). 2-4pm with bouncy castle, tea room, barbecue, stalls and more. Admission by donation.

Monday August 18

FREE monthly evening stroll through Rouken Glen Park. Seven Bridges Walk leaves from the waterfall at 7pm — last walk of the summer, and includes steps and slopes, on and off the beaten track.
