SPROG Rock — an interactive live music gig for children and their adults — runs at Eastwood Park Theatre. 11am and 2pm — tickets £5 (£15 family) from 577 4956.

NEW monthly comedy night at Eastwood Park. Dead Sheep Comedy presents funny men Gavin Webster, The Reverend Obadiah Steppenwolf III, Des Clarke and Scott Gibson. Tickets £13/£11/£9 from number above. Over 18s only.

TABLETOP sale and Christmas fair at the Scout Hall, Cathcart, from 11am until 1pm. Admission £2 including tea/coffee/cake. Organised by the 43rd Glasgow Scouts.

MERRYLEE Primary shopping and pamper night. The Parents Association event returns from 7-9.30pm, and entry is £5. Expect stalls, Christmas gifts, pampering treatments and more, all in aid of school funds.

Sunday November 16

FESTIVE fair at Greenbank Garden. The annual event runs 11am-4pm with stalls, hot mince pies and more, and entry is included in the cost of admission to Greenbank House.

FILMS for grown ups at the Burrell Collection, today showing a mystery film starring Michael Caine and Sean Connery. 2pm start, and entry is free.

CHRISTMAS lights switch on at The Avenue. Free fun from 2.30-4.30pm, hosted by Des Clarke and featuring Peter Pan panto stars and Santa himself. The main event is at 4pm.

Monday November 17

TALK on Scottish Wildlife: Hope or Despair? at Duff Memorial Hall. 7.30pm start and organised by the Scottish Wildlife Trust Clarkston and East Kilbride. £2 for SWT members, £3 non-members, under 16s free.

Wednesday November 19

MUMS and Grans Cafe continues at Fairweather Hall, 10am-noon. Come along for a chat over tea, coffee and homebaking — free event, and part of an eight week pilot run by Mearns Village Community Association.
