JOIN the Rouken Glen Park rangers on a night-time Bat and Owl Prowl. 7-9pm.

Saturday September 13

AFTERNOON tea at St Aidan’s on Old Mearns Road from 2.30-4.30pm to raise church funds. Savoury treats and sweets with tea and coffee. £5.

MONTHLY walk at Greenbank Garden, this time on harvesting and storing garden veg. 2.30-4pm. Ticket included in Greenbank House admission cost.

Sunday September 14

SOLVE the murder on Mrs Peacock’s Mystery Walk, leaving from Whitelee Windfarm visitor centre at 10am. Runs until 2pm, and length is approx eight miles. Free to join.

GARDEN talk on perfect lawns at Pollok Park. 1-3pm, and free to join.

INTERACTIVE Horrible Heidie tour at Scotland Street School Museum. 1pm start, and it’s free to join.

MOVIE time at The Burrell, showing a film based on a Roald Dahl book and starring Johnny Depp (and lots of chocolate) from 2pm. Free entry. For more info, call 287 2550.

NATURALIST and writer Jim Crumley gives a talk on The Eagles Way at Duff Memorial Hall. 7.30pm, and entry is £3.

Tuesday September 16

CONCERT featuring Sounds International at Stamperland Church. Charity show from 7.30pm covering Bach to the Beatles, in aid of PPWH, the church and the choir’s charity. Tickets £5.

Thursday September 18

WEDDING open evening at the Redhurst Hotel in Giffnock. Save the date and head along 4-9pm for the free fair.
