Fairy causing a Stink at the Tron

This year sees the esteemed city centre theatre get to grips withPeter Pan — though this has been slightly altered as Peter Panto and the Incredible Stinkerbell.

This is anothr new take on an old favourite and the theatre claims that last year’s offering was such a smash hit that they have invited writer Johnny McKnight back again — and have some sold out nights to prove it!

Johnny has taken an old, trusted favourite and given it a distinctly Weegie makeover.

The play sees the feisty Stinkerbell — with an unrevealled super-power — take on all manner of dodgy geezer pirates led by the evil baddy, Captain New Look.

It also has a strange, ticking reptile and a heroine made solely for a Weegie panto — Westend Wendy — who will fight to the death for the love of her life, the eternally youthful Peter Panto.

Highlights to expect include some hilarious Clydeside swashbuckling shenanigans and piratical patter of the most hysterical kind in a show that is siutable for children aged six years and over.

Will Stinkerbell get her man? Will Captain New Look swap his hook for a Dyson attachment?

And how will they manage to make anyone fly when they possess no flying rig?

Joining the Tron for this wonder journey to Neverland are Panto cast favourites Darren Brownlie, Sally Reid, Anita Vettesse and Helen McAlpine.

This year they are joined by newcomers to the Tron panto fold Louise McCarthy and Laura Szalecki.

The show is designed and directed by Kenny Miller with musical direction in the capable hands of Ross Brown.
