The youngsters (ages nine and up to S3) present Camp Rock — a show based on the Disney Channel original movies.

The scene is set for summer, and the intake at Camp Rock are expecting the time of their lives — not to mention a song and a dance about it.

Unfortunately, the newer and flashier Camp Star has opened just across the lake, threatening good old Camp Rock’s very existence.

Keen to keep the doors open at her beloved summer camp, Mitchie steps up, rallies her fellow rockers and whips them into top shape for the ultimate showdown.

It’s billed as “a fun show, full of positive messages about being true to yourself” — and with a fun-filled, modern musical and Harlequin’s considerable pedigree, Camp Rock looks set to bring down the house at the Eastwood theatre this week.

Mums, dads and proud family members will no doubt be front and centre — for anyone else looking for family-friendly entertainment for all ages, now might be time to grab those tickets...and get ready to rock.
