Hat trick glory for Westerwood

A top Cumbernauld hotel has added another three industry awards to an already impressive clutch of professional accolades.

The Westerwood Hotel and Golf Resort gained the regional Business Hotel of the Year Award, the top Events Team title, and also a special award for general manager Paul Bray.

He gained the award for people management and motivation in the medium hotel category,

The four star business won its latest honours at the Scottish Hotel of the Year Awards, staged at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Edinburgh.

Earlier this year the Westerwood was named number one hotel by VenueVerdict, and has now kept its VenueVerdict gold standard rating for three years.

Then in March it gained the customer service excellence award at the Lanarkshire Business Service Excellence Awards.

Paul Bray said: “Great service is at the heart of our business, so it means a lot to see all the hard work and dedication that the team puts into making each guest and delegate’s stay memorable and enjoyable is really paying off.”

The Westerwood is also an “in house” winner within its owning company QHotels.
