Just flew in from the windy city...

NEXT stop, Deadwood — Calamity Jane is rolling into the King’s Theatre.

Cowgirl Calamity is one of the fastest sharp shooters in the wild west — but when it comes to fetching a (rather fetching) music hall star from the bright lights of Chicago, she’s getting it all wrong.

The classic comedy is back on the stage courtesy of Glasgow’s own Pantheon Club — a troupe almost as old as the real Calamity Jane, formed in 1927.

The family show has plenty of toe-tapping numbers (Secret Love, Black Hills of Dakota, The Deadwood Stage and Windy City), and Thursday (October 31) marks a one-off special — Sing-along-a-Calamity.

Calamity Jane runs at the King’s Tuesday to Saturday — times vary. Tickets from www.atgtickets.com.
