And parents will need to be quick off the mark to book their children on to these activities, as many of the events are proving popular.

Just some of the activities taking place in local venues include Athletics and Multi Sport Camps at Eastwood High School Sports Centre; the arts and crafts Superhero Academy, at Woodfarm High School; a Play in a Week drama class at Eastwood Park Theatre and balloon sculpting at Giffnock and Mearns Libraries.

There’s also football, mini tennis, gymnastics and basketball at Williamwood High School along with athletics for all ages and badminton at Mearns Castle High School.

And there are lessons in swimming, distance swimming and diving from the poolside at Eastwood Park Leisure.
