Out in front, runners do it in colour

ROWS of runners dressed in all colours of the Rainbow ran along Glasgow’s Spiers Wharf Canal to celebrate LGBT History Month.

It was organised by award-winning inclusive community based road running group with links to Glasgow’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community.

The wet weather couldn’t stop Glasgow Frontrunners hosting their fourth annual Rainbow Run from Glasgow Caledonian University’s Arc gym where the running club meet on a Thursday evening and Sunday morning offering a wide range of runs suitable for beginners to long distance Marathon runners.

The club is going from strength to strength. They are actively training for the Barcelona Marathon in March. It’s the largest UK representation from Frontrunners at a European race so far!

President Eric Baster said: “The LGBT community is traditionally under-represented in sports, so this is a great way to combat homophobia and transphobia, both in sport and the community.”
