Pic of the Week: Alas Poor Yorick by Stuart McCann

This image was taken as part of a Halloween theme studio shoot where the model was made up with gory body paint and posed with a skull prop which gave me the idea for the play on the famous Hamlet scene with the skull of Yorick. Under studio conditions it was possible to get good lighting and a perfect exposure with the camera set to 1/100th sec, ISO 100, f8 zoomed at 42mm using my Nikon 24-75mm f2.8 lens. ‘

Alas Poor Yorick’ won the best monochrome print at the recent GDPU competition.
