Pic of the Week: Charge of the Light Brigade by Jim McCann

When in London on a family visit and sightseeing trip we were in the St James Park area on Remembrance Sunday, early afternoon.

We suddenly became aware of the sound of military bands in the distance and headed quickly along with hundreds of others in the direction of the music.

It turned out to be all the military regiments returning to their barracks following the Remembrance Service.

I managed to get a position ahead of the parade and take some head on shots of the various regiments in full ceremonial dress which in the case of the Lifeguards was vibrant red.

Taken with a Nikon D7000 DSLR camera, 70-300mm lens set at 200mm, shutter speed 1/1000 second, aperture f5.6
