Pic of the Week: Drifter on the Edge by Gary Winston
The image was taken at the opening speedway friendly between Glasgow Tigers and Newcastle at the Ashfield Stadium.
It was such a miserable day raining frequently.
After a short while, all the riders and bikes were covered in mud and grit so I was lucky to get an image with such clear eyes behind the visor.
The image was taken using a Canon 1d mk3 with a 300 mm lens attached 1/1000 second exposure at f5.6 ISO 800 to maintain a fast shutter speed and good light sensitivity on the camera sensor.
