Pic of the Week: Hielan’ Coo by Brian McCormick
THIS was an image I took while on a trip to Mull in the spring.
I found a herd of cows in a field and, after watching this cow for a few minutes, I crept slowly closer to it and picked a moment to take the photo — just after it ate some grass.
I loved the image as soon as I took it due to the warm lighting and being able to see all the detail in the hairs around the nose and tongue.

Hide AdI used a Nikon D300, with a 70-200mm f2.8 lens, the settings were at ISO 500, focal length 170mm, with f5 aperture and 1/3200 sec.
