Pic of the Week: In the Water by Cliff Lockyer

This image was taken at Glen Etive, one of the most popular rivers for canoeists and one of my favourite places to photograph.

At the far end of the glen there are a number of potentially good locations for landscapes and in the winter there is a good chance of having a close encounter with deer.

This image was one of a series taken in the glen when the water levels were quite high. It is of the triple falls section, which has cult status when water is high and fast flowing.

I can remember having to clamber down rocks and getting bitterly cold waiting for the action on the river.

The image was taken with a Canon 40D and a 24-70 f2.8 lens (settings f6,3 at 1/320 and ISO100).
