Pic of the Week: Long-tailed Tit with Young by Chris Everett
Long-tailed tits build a closed oval nest of moss in a tree fork and camouflage it with moss and lichen (this was in a silver birch tree in Linn Park).
The was shot from around 15 metres, with a Canon 60D with a Canon 400mm f5.6 lens plus a 1.4 converter. Settings were 1/100 second at f8 and ISO 1000.
