Praise for Christian music evening in Cumbernauld

THE word of God was brought into the 21st century last week at a Christian music night in the New Town Hall.

Members of the Freedom City Church had organised the music night, which showcased local acts using their talents to spread the word of the Gospel.

Although the night had a Christian backdrop, doors were open to youngsters of all faiths and beliefs.

Rachel Gibson, pastor at Freedom City, said: “It was an awesome night. A big turn-out of 170 young people from all over Cumbernauld and Kilsyth and a great atmosphere.

“We really believe the message of God’s love came across and everyone was really eager for the next event!”
