The film, commissioned by The Common Guild, follows the Turner-nominated artist on a year-long project meeting the people of Glasgow, taking him to maternity hospitals, schools, community groups, social clubs and even Barlinnie Prison.

The sequences, filmed by Michael McDonough, are accompanied by an imaginary public broadcast created by Glaswegians with a script by Ewan Morrison, and the soundtrack features Welsh pop singer Cate Le Bon, Mogwai’s Barry Burns, Golden Teacher and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

Tomorrow Is Always Too Long will be shown on screens at the park’s Old Rose Garden from 9pm, as part of the Glasgow 2014 cultural programme.
