Reasons to be cheerful and get out and about

There’s a bumper day of fun and frolics in various events and locations this Saturday.

From Holmwood House, Netherlee Road, to Glad Cafe, Shawlands, and Whole Food store in Giffnock, it’ll be a day to plan carefully so as to make as much of all the events as possible.

Holmwood Family Fun Day kicks off proceeding from 11am-4pm

Their annual family fun includes all the things regular visitors have come to love: bouncy castle, art workshop where kids can create their own hero or villain.

The Queens Park Arena is underused so it will be great to bring people along to see it to its full potential.

“It will also be great to teach kids about the outdoors and get the family out for a fun day out in the park.”

This Saturdy, also, foodies and craft beer fans should get along to the mini beerfest at the Whole Food Market in Giffnock.

From noon-7pm, there will be tastings of beers and ales from producers, including Fyne Ales, BrewDog and Stewart Brewing.

This will be a farmer’s style market packed with beer to try and buy, as well as London beers, gluten free, cider, whisky stalls and a beer tent where visitors can enjoy a cold pint from West brewery.

There will be hot and tasty food from the Airstream with music — and look out for special offers in store.

So, there’s no excuse for staying indoors this Saturday.
