Recalling variety’s heyday

A VARIETY performance in support of Strathcarron Hospice will be held in Falkirk this weekend.

The show, “Those Variety Days”, recalls the heyday of Scottish variety performance at such well-known venues as the Pavilion and Alhambra in Glasgow, and the King’s in Edinburgh.

A spokesperson said: “A varied - naturally - lineup of performers includes The Alexander Brothers, Chris De Rosa and the Art of Illusion, Scott Wynter, Rossini, The Honeybirds, Derek Green and the Gang, Jimmy McWilliams and the Apollo Players Dancers, truly offering something for everyone and fun for all ages.”
