The search is on for pets who’ve had miracle escapes from injury or illness.

Vet charity PDSA wants to hear about plucky pets that have dodged disaster and beaten the odds thanks to the skill of vets, the love of their owners and of course their own amazing survival spirit. If you know of such an animal, they could be crowned PDSA Pet Survivor 2013.

The PDSA Pet Survivor Awards are open to any pet owner whose pet has been treated by a veterinary surgeon in the UK for a life-threatening illness or injury since October 2012.

PDSA vets and nurses care for thousands of sick and injured pets every year.Entries will be judged on the most outstanding story of pet survival against the odds when faced with serious illness or injury in the past 12 months. The overall winner who will take the title of PDSA Pet Survivor 2013 will receive their unique Pet Survivor trophy, engraved with their pet’s name, at a special presentation event.

Entry forms, available from PDSA pet hospitals and stores nationwide, should be completed and returned to: PDSA Pet Survivor, FREEPOST TF 625, Telford, TF2 92B or enter online at www.pdsa.org.uk/petsurvivor. The deadline for entries is November 15, 2013.
