Shades of Gray at the ABC

A gifted songwriter and dazzling singer, the Grammy awardwinning artist Macy Gray has been overturning fan expectation and industry formula since her debut 2000 album On How Life Is.

Both the album and classic single I Try were massive global hits.

They kicked off a career ride that includes multiple Grammys and MTV awards, more than 25 million record sales and a formidable acting career.

The 20-year-old, whose off-stage name is Callum Burrows, was main support on guitarist phenomenon of 2014 Ed Sheeran’s UK and European arena tour.

Callum said: “Being on tour with Ed Sheeran has been an incredible experience. The size of the shows were crazy and I feel lucky to have been part of that tour.

“But there is also something so special about doing headline gigs and playing to a crowd who have come specifically to see you. So I’ve been really looking forward to this tour and getting back out on the road.”

Already a name on many people’s lips as becoming one of the most exciting British, breakthrough guitar acts of 2014, Radio 1 DJ, record producer and television presenter Zane Lowe included his single Everything She Wants as one of his hottest tracks of 2014.
