Spirit of ‘77 lives on with three for one

ALTHOUGH I wouldn’t discount the younger members of the gig-going public, this is one mainly for the older generation.

The remains of three great bands from the 70s are preparing to spike up their hair for another crack at the circuit.

The Blockheads are soldiering on after the death of Ian Dury.

Eddie and the Hot Rods were a brash, young band back in 1977: one wonders if much has changed.

Look out for the bands big hit: Do Anything You Wanna Do.

Finally, still holding the flag for Mods aloft is Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler, two thirds of From The Jam.

All three are playing the O2 ABC this Sunday and tickets for the gig are £22 from 0141 332 2232.
