The session, which took place today, (Monday, March 20) was run by Sustrans Scotland I Bike Officer Rory Coyle.

He said: “Dr Bike sessions are a great way to make sure that bikes are in a safe and ride-able condition before summer cycling activities begin.

“I am really looking forward to working with schools across Glasgow over the next year and a half to help inspire and encourage more children to walk, cycle or scoot to school.“

George Cairns, Glasgow City Council’s Road Safety Manager, said: “Road safety is one of the council’s top priorities and we are delighted to support this fantastic initiative which will help build the confidence of our city’s young people. The role of the IBike Officer complements the work we are already doing to promote and deliver the national cycle training scheme to every primary school in Glasgow.”
