Their version of Beauty and the Beast, billed as “part Downton, part Grease” is accompanied by a show for children aged 3-6 called The Little Boy That Santa Claus Forgot and an interactive dance production called Innocence, which is aimed at children aged 0-3.

Johnny McKnight stars in Beauty and the Beast - which he also wrote and directed. The town of Stirling Stella is troubled by recession and Bunty Buntock is concerned about her two children, Belle and Sebastian. Belle is fed up with men, especially her ex Gaston who keeps slapping his thighs and declaring Belle his prize.

Meanwhile Prince Matthew Creepy-Crawley is confined to the grounds of Bouffin Abbey. Once the local heart-throb, a curse has turned him into a terrifying beast.

The Little Boy That Santa Claus Forgot is a new production by Fringe First winner Gareth Nicholls and Oliver Emanuel. Johnny hates Christmas and everything about it. Unfortunately his neighbour is Mr McGregor who loves Christmas. Every year he gives Johnny a present he doesn’t want - except this year. This year there is no present and no Mr McGregor.

And very young children can enjoy Innocence from the Scottish Dance Theatre. This interactive playroom is based on the childhood of poet and artist William Blake. The cast of performers will portray a world of tigers and lambs for the
children to interpret. The show enjoyed an acclaimed sell out run during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Tickets are very limited so advance booking is essential.

Beauty and the Beast runs from November 27 - January 5 with tickets priced £12-£18. The Little Boy That Santa Claus Forgot is from Tuesday 3 until December 29, with tickets costing up to £32 for a family of 4. Innocence is from December 10-22 with tickets costing up to £28 for a family of four.
