As part of East Renfrewshire Culture’s four-day Family Festival, there will be a film screening, kids craft event and an interactive musical theatre workshop celebrating the Disney movie.

Karen E. Moir, musical theatre director, who will lead the workshop, said: “The workshops will feature songs from both the original and new films.

“There will be plenty of singing and acting although I don’t really plan what will happen. I prefer the pupils to decide what direction to take so it is very organic.”

The youngsters will then have the chance to show off their newly-learnt skills to their families.

“The end production will be quite casual – I find you get the best our of kids when there isn’t too much pressure, they perform better when they are having fun.

“We want as many youngsters as possible to come along and have some fun!”

Catch the screening of Mary Poppins Returns (2018), the musical theatre workshop and the Mary Poppins Kids Craft on July 4 at Eastwood Park Theatre.
