Third time lucky for Christmas show

A CHRISTMAS charity extravaganza at a local secondary school which has been cancelled TWICE due to bad weather will finally go ahead next month - weather permitting.

Greenfaulds High School is taking no chances with its Christmas Express show which was first scheduled to take place in December and then on January 6.

Conditions in the school's car park before Greenfaulds broke up for Christmas meant that the show could not be staged for friends and parents - although pupils have already seen a morning performance in the school's auditorium.

As North Lanarkshire Council announced that it would not be gritting school grounds, it was thought that the show should again be postponed for safety's sake.

The News has now been asked to point out that weather permitting the show will be performed on February 1.

Doors open at 7pm and all tickets are still valid.

Some tickets are still available and these can be reserved by telephoning 727956.
