Through the eyes of a tiger

There are two shows in the frame, each telling a similar story but from a new perspective.

Tiger Tale is aimed at the younger theatre crowd (ages six and up) and follows a girl who longs for someone to play with.

Poppy’s world is turned upside down when a certain stripy character comes to stay, bringing along chaos, danger and a heap of fun — not to mention reminding Poppy’s family how they feel about one another.

Then, for audiences 14+, there’s Tiger — the grown-up version about a less than functional family; the mother who can’t go outside, success-obsessed father and lonely daughter. Of course, (you guessed it) their world is shaken up when a tiger comes to visit...

Both shows run at Eastwood Park tomorrow (Friday) — 2.30pm for Tiger Tale and 7.30pm for Tiger. Tickets are £8-£13 available from 577 4956.

The mental health festival continues at Eastwood Park on October 31, as Plutôt la Vie presents Couldn’t Care Less — a show about the trials and joys faced by carers and those they care for.

The story of Alzheimers sufferer Elspeth and her daughter Lilly — the reluctant carer — may be familiar to some, as Lilly learns to deal with the person in front of her, and not the mother she once knew.
