Scottish singer Jon (39), aka Johnny Lee Memphis, has been mimicking his idol since the tender age of 3, and took up paying tribute to Presley in 2004.

He said of his big win: “I’ve entered this contest for a few years now and I’m really glad to see my hard work starting to pay off.

“I’ve made it to the finals four times and to come top in such a class field of tribute artists is an amazing feeling.”

Back in 2010 Johnny won the Elvis World Cup, and since then has been touring the UK with the JLM Band, Graceland Horns and the Memphis Belles.

An Elvis fan since he was a boy, his favourite period is from 1969 to 1974.

He walked away with the title at the Birmingham Hilton after judges loved his versions of ‘Love Coming Down’, ‘Proud Mary’, ‘Never Been to Spain’ and ‘Polk Salad Annie’.
