First up on the international front is KINGDOM, by Spanish choreographer Jorge Crecis, in which dancers are challenged to create a shelter using 80 bamboo sticks and 120 ropes — the theme being team spirit.

French/Belgian choreographer Damien Jalet steps up next with YAMA, inspired by his trip to tsunami-devastated Japan.

SISGO is a SDT favourite, with audience members bathed in light in order to get up close and personal, while INNOCENCE offers something for the youngest of dance fans, targeted at 0-7 years and billed as a ‘performance playroom’.
