CUMBERNAULD Male Voice Choir and local primary schools will present a charity concert on Wednesday, May 9 at 7.30pm.

Baird Memorialal, Carbrain, Cumbernauld, Kildrum and Whitelees are the participating primary schools for the concert at Kildrum Parish Church, and it is hoped that a capacity audience will turn out for this event. Proceeds are going to the Samantha Dickson Trust which raises funds to support research into brain tumours affecting children and adults, as well as giving support and information to people who have or care for someone with a brain tumour.

Cumbernauld Male Voice Choir have been busy of late preparing for their annual concerts which take place in Cumbernauld New Town Hall on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Tickets from choir members, or by calling 01236 611539. The choir say sales are brisk but it should be possible to get some on the door on Tuesday and Wednesday.

This concert will feature Barlauth, a highly-regarded quintet from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
