Thursday April 9

SPRING break at Pollok House - activities every day 11am-1pm until April 16. Today; Nature Trail. Mostly outdoors so children should be dressed appropriately.

EASTER Funday at Dams to Darnley Country Park. 1-3pm for egg decorating, egg-stical course, nest building and more. Wear suitable clothing - free but booking required on 577 4053.

THEATRE with a black comedy twist at Eastwood Park. The Beat Goes On is a couple who are Sonny and Cher’s biggest fans. 7.30pm start and tickets are £13/£11/£9 from 577 4956.

EASTWOOD and District Members Centre NTS present Scottish Astronomy - an Historical Perspective. Illustrated talk by John Pressly from Coats Observatory, at Clarkston Halls from 7.30pm.

Saturday April 11

FAMILY storytime with the Scottish Youth Theatre and How the Alphabet was Made. 11am at Eastwood Park Theatre - tickets £5/family £15 from 577 4956.

Sunday April 12

HEAD to Greenbank House and Garden for Daffodil Day, showcasing the collection of 600 varieties and at least 200 cut blooms on display. Price included in house admission - open 9am-5pm.

MEARNS Horticultural Society meets from 7.45pm at Albertslund Hall. For April, a hands-on workshop pricking out seedlings sown at the March meeting, as well as Gardener’s Question Time. £2 entry includes raffle and refreshments.

Wednesday April 15

TALK at Rouken Glen Park on wildlife crime, led by countryside ranger and police co-ordinator Joe Connelly. 7-9pm at the pavilion - free to attend.

Thursday April 16

INFORMATION and advice drop in from RNIB Scotland Vision Support, running at Giffnock Library 10am until 12.30pm. Free event.
